A Muslim youth in Hyderabad lodged a complaint against the actress and the producers’ of the movie couple of days back. As per complaint the maker of the movie Omar Lulu and Priya Prakash have hurt the sentiments of Muslims through the song. Some words used in the song are not appropriate and it has hurt the community.
During a Facebook live in Hyderabad, a man named Adnan Qamar said that the expressions of Priya in the song are an insult to the Muslims. He also shared the English translation of the song. Mohammed Abdul, the man who lodged the complaint that said he has no problem with Priya but with the director.
On the controversy now song composer Shaan Rahman said, “We are getting more and more support from the society. We believe there is nothing in the film that can hurt anyone’s sentiments. We are ready to go the legal way. No scene will be deleted.”
Omar Lulu said, “The song shares only one message – love beyond borders.The controversy involving its lyrics and social media sensation Priya Prakash Verrier’s expressions are totally unnecessary.”
When Priya was asked about the controversy she said, “ I have just been updated about it by my Director; hence don’t have much idea about the controversy and the case. I would not want to speak about it at the moment.”
