It was star-studded moment at the Filmfare Awards last night at the 65th Filmfare Awards. This time, the organisers went all the way to Assam to organise this event for the first time. This time Zoya Akhtar’s film Gully Boy did well not only at the box office but also before the jury of the award function as they gave away three big awards.
Ranveer Singh bagged the best actor award for the said film, while Alia also got the best actress for the same film.
That’s not all, even Zoya Akhtar bagged the best director award for this film. Besides bagging the top of these three major awards, the film has bagged a total of 13 awards. Ranveer Singh was quick to notice that when he shared a table comparing the other previous films that bagged the maximum number of awards’ list. Gully Boy topped this list followed by Black in 2006 getting 11 awards and then
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge to bag 10 awards in 1996.
Bajirao Mastani stood forth in this list along with slew other films Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Omkara and Madhumati to name a few to get a total of nine awards in the list. Ranveer Singh shared this tally on his Instagram page allowing the world to know the same. The 65thFilmfare Awards was held at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, Assam, while it was hosted by actor Vicky Kaushal and director Karan Johar.
