Come 28th February and we have the film Tappad releasing on this big day. The film has Taapsee Pannu in the leading role with domestic violence as the central theme of the film. The film is from the director of Article 15 and Mulk who is fond of making movies that somewhere reflects the real time issues our society is facing in this modern world. With such a hard hitting drama in the past, the director Anubha Sinha is back with yet another burning issue film.
The trailer seems good and so was the performance of the leading lady in the film who raised an important issue that many married women of the country are facing but not all dare to speak about it. However, the film happens to be a niche movie, which may not attract the masses hence it would be fair to say that the film will have an average collection on day one. So, amidst the decent buzz, one can expect the film to collect between Rs 2.50 crore to Rs 3.50 crore on day one.
Now, depending upon the word of mouth buzz amidst the audience, the momentum would increase the coming first Saturday and Sunday. The critics are expected to give good reviews for the film for sure, while it would be interesting to see how the audience would react to it. Well, let’s see how things would go, yet the film is expected to collect 13 to 15 Crores on the first weekend for sure.
